There are lots of remedies for tummy bugs but I’ll list the most common below. Sometimes other remedies or potencies are required which might require a consultation with a Homeopath.

Arsenicum
Food poisoning. Frequent, violent vomiting. Watery, putrid diarrhoea that burns the skin. Burning cramping pain in the abdomen. Can start in the early hours of the night (between midnight and 3am). Person will be very anxious and restless. Feels chilly.
Chamomilla
Diarrhoea in teething infants. Stool green and smelly. Child can be angry from pain and better for being carried around.
Ipecac
Vomiting 24 hr bug. Morning sickness. Severe nausea and vomiting. Vomiting does not relieve the nausea. Tongue tends to be clean. Stool smells fermented and has an offensive smell.
Nux Vomica
Over-indulgence from alcohol or food. Good for hangovers. Bloating from gas. Nausea, vomiting and lots of retching. Sharp cramping pains in abdomen. Loud rumbling and gurgling. Very irritable and bossy.
Phosphorous
Burning pains in tummy. Violent vomiting. Thirsty for cold drinks but vomits them as soon as they hit the stomach. Diarrhoea watery and frequent. Gurgling in abdomen.
Pulsatilla
Stools greenish-yellow, slimy, watery. Stools changeable. Nausea and vomiting, nausea relieved by vomiting. Very clingy and whiny. Feels very sorry for themselves. Better for fresh air.
