This post is catered for home prescribers who want to plus remedies to slightly increase the potency of that remedy.
“Plussing” in homeopathy refers to the process of increasing the potency of a homeopathic remedy slightly by adding the remedy to water and invigorating it further. This is done in order to achieve a slightly deeper level of potency every time.
Why do home prescribers want to plus a remedy?
Home prescribers dealing with illness that has fully captured the sick individual want to slightly potentise their chosen remedy for every dose which will further stimulate the vital force (energy body).
Plussing a remedy is similar to succussion. When plussing a remedy, the liquid is shaken or stirred depending on the vessel you are using. If using a bottle of water, for instance, then you would shake the bottle a particular number of times. If using a glass of water, you would stir that water a particular number of times with a spoon.
Here are the general guidelines for plussing a remedy in water:
- Start with either a glass of water or bottle of water.
- Add your remedy.
- Stir or shake by your chosen number of times.
- Administer remedy to the individual.
